I think I will enter and see what happens! I took this picture of Taylor while we were at Disney celebrating her 9th birthday. I might be partial but I think she is one beautiful young lady! Breakthrough!

We had an unexpected breakthrough today at Disney. Katie screamed bloody murder yesterday if she got near any character. Today she ran - not walked - ran to Stitch. This is hilarious because I don't believe she has ever watched Lilo and Stitch on TV and has never seen him! If any character looks scary at Disney I would say Stitch would have to be one of them but she apparently didn't think so!

Taylor got to skip school and take her best friend to Disney to celebrate her birthday today. Disney gives passholders the equivalent of a one day ticket prices in fun dollars to spend but you have to come on your actual birthday so not only did she have fun in the park she also got to shop which was fun! The weather was PERFECT - a beautiful 71 degrees, bright blue sky and lots of sun. What a great day!

Happy Birthday to our beautiful daughter Taylor! She is nine years old today.

 

Disney Part II

Next, we stood in line for quite a while as Katie wanted to see Mickey and Minnie. She promised she would not cry. And she didn't...

 

She screamed, again... and held onto Taylor's leg for dear life!

Then we went to see Mickey's Philharmagic in 3D. Now THIS Katie loved - along with lots of other things including the Barnstormer Rollercoaster of all things!

 

And before we could get halfway out of the park....she crashed. I'm sure with visions of Daisy, Mickey and Minnie dancing in her dreams...

 

Our First Disney Experience with Katie

The excitement built all morning as she could hardly contain herself when we pulled up to Disney's gates and she saw the pictures of Minnie and Mickey!

 

She pointed with glee at them as we drove into the land of Disney...

 

As soon as we entered the gates we saw the beautiful Daisy Duck and we had to get her autograph. Thinking Katie would love her we stood in line and waited for our turn. Then when the cast member allowed us to come forward...Katie screamed like her head had been cut off!

Daisy was cool about it though which was nice.

I Wuv it Mommy!

I ventured out in the sewing world again and made Katie this top yesterday. It looks adorable with leggins. The whole time I was working on this she would say "Mommy are you makin dat for me?" When she tried it on when I was finished she said "Oh wow I wuv it Mommy! You are a good maker for me!"
