All Dressed Up...

Going to church for the first time. She was happy here but when we took her to the nursery she screamed bloody murder so that lasted about 5 minutes. She was introduced to the congregation today by the pastor as well. We met 4 families in our church today that have adopted from China or Vietnam. We had no idea there were so many families in our church with children from China!

What a GREAT Day!

The cake was yummy and I had a great 1st birthday!

Katie's actual birthday was March 20th. Since our Gotcha Day was March 27th, we decided to celebrate when we got home and she got settled.

Happy Belated Birthday Katie Mari

Since we had out of town guests (Grandma Rop and my Aunt Sandi), mom and dad decided to throw me a belated birthday party. I wasn't sure what to do with the cake. It looked pretty on my fingers!

YIPEEEEE I Can Use My Sippy Cup By Myself!

Normally I just hand the cup to Mom and screech at her till she gives me a drink from it. Well, today I surprised her while she was cleaning up my dinner mess. I grabbed the cup and took a swig! Luckily Mom had the camera on the counter and she was able to catch me in action. I still haven't figured out I can grab the other handle with my other hand and it won't be so awkward, but oh well! That will come! Oh, and pardon my messy face!

Waking Up...

Just 5 more minutes Mom...

She woke up and I put her in bed with Daddy, then sissy came in to get in on the action. Katie snuggled up to Dad and caught a few more winks before she was up for breakfast. She still loves those fingers. They even have suction blisters on them but the doctor said it's too late to do anything about it as she has been doing it too long to break the habit. That's fine with us - we didn't want her to stop anyway...

She is also getting a big molar tooth coming in that the doctor showed us yesterday. It's really swollen and while we were in China we though she may be teething as she was so "drooly". He nose has ran in a constant stream since we have been home and that is probably why. This child has a mouthful of teeth! When this one comes in it will be #9. All the better to eat french fries with I guess.
