Brevard Zoo
We went to the zoo today and had so much fun! Unfortunately my beloved camera (Nikon D50) had to be shipped off a few weeks ago to be worked on. I borrowed a Canon PowerShot A590 and it took some really good photos. I still don't like the delay in taking a picture though. I'll be glad when mine gets fixed! Here are a few shots of Katie and some of the birds in the exhibits.

Gaylord Palms ICE!
Here are some pics from the exhibit. There wasn't nearly as much there as I thought there would be but it was still neat...and REALLY cold (9 degrees)!

Today we are going to The Gaylord Palms Hotel to see the ICE! exhibit. Artisans from Harbin, China have been here in Orlando for quite a while carving ice sculptures for this exhibit. I've heard it's stunning so be looking for more pics later!

Butterfly Release
We tried to release our butterfly yesterday but she was adamant that she was not ready. This morning I took her outside in the bright sun and let her sit up on my hand in the breeze. She stayed for a while then suddenly took off and flew up in our palm tree and rested. She then flew to another frond and from there took off over the houses and down the street! Hopefully she finds a safe place to land!
